As part of our efforts in the fight against GBV in schools, INTERCEP, a sub-grantee of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF) conducted an inter-school debate in Jos North local government area of Plateau State.

The debate brought together 9 schools to explore the topic, Patriarchy is a Barrier to Men’s Involvement in Gender-Based Prevention. The students demonstrated a very impressive understanding of patriarchy’s complexities.

The discussion also shed light on how societal norms and power dynamics hinder men’s involvement.

Teachers also contributed different perspectives to the discussions and issues raised by the students.

Four schools were recognised with awards for their exceptional performance.
