Greetings to this eminent members of this Group.

With support from Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF), INTERCEP has commenced implementing the Project: Strengthening the Capacity of Teachers and Women Groups to Take Lead in Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Through Technological Innovations in the Attainment of SDGs 4, 5 and 16 in Jos Plateau State Nigeria.

The Objective of the project is to contribute to Reduction of Gender-Based Violence in North Central Nigeria by 2030 Pursuant to Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5 and 16.

At the commencement of project implemention, 10 Secondary Schools made up of 20 school children (male and female) and 10 Teachers (male and female) have been trained on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Digital Rights. At the close of the Training, ACTION PLANS were developed including the plans to establish GBV Clubs in all the participating schools.

The Purpose of Creating this Group is for
(i) Education,
(ii) Information Sharing & (iii) Tracking and reporting GBV/VAWG.

We are all encouraged to be very active participants in making contributions and also reporting GBV cases on the Platform.

We are glad to have NWTF Programme Officer, Mrs Oluwatoyin Omoyemi in our midst.

Let us work together to REDUCE GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES and SCHOOLS.
